About Me

I am Swapnaneel Bhattacharyya, a PhD student in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Wharton, I completed my Master of Statistics (M.Stat.) at the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, with a specialization in Theoretical Statistics in 2026. I also received my Bachelor of Statistics (B.Stat.) from the same institute in 2024.

I have been fortunate to participate in the research internship at the Department of Statistics and Data Science, Carnegie Mellon University (Summer 2025), advised by Dr. Aaditya Ramdas, CMU. Prior to that, I visited the Big Data Summer Institute, School of Public Health, University of Michigan (Summer 2024).
